Our Church is home to a variety of ministries designed to support you in every season of life- we exist to assist in your spiritual growth, community connection, personal or family support. We also invite you to get involved and use the gifts that God have given you to uplift others. There’s a place for everyone to serve, grow, and belong. Education Ministries
Sunday School
Sunday School gathers at 9:30 AM for dynamic Bible teaching sessions for all ages.

New Members Sessions
If you desire to join this great church, our New Members sessions are designed to effectively welcome and guide you into life with your new church family at Mt. Olive. During these sessions, you’ll learn about our church’s history, our core biblical beliefs, and the mutual expectations of our covenant as church and member.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Mount Olive is a seasonal ministry designed to teach Biblical principles and nurture the spiritual growth of children and youth ages 5 to 18. Through interactive lessons, creative activities, and age-appropriate teaching, our VBS program helps young people build a strong foundation of faith. And of course, we mix in plenty of good old-fashioned fun with games, crafts, music, and fellowship that make it a memorable experience for everyone. Our volunteers must have the required clearances to interact with children.
Evangelism and Community Engagement Ministries
City Reach Evangelism Ministry
The vision of City Reach Evangelism Ministry is to be a tangible Ministry, a Ministry the community can feel. As a church we are fulfilling the Great commission and active in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mt. Olive is a church that is engaged and present in the community. Through City Reach we will go outside of the church walls and share the Word, Love, and Compassion of Jesus Christ. We believe the evangelism is a calling that is shared by every believer according to the word of God. (Matthew 28:19)

Ruth Widows Ministry (Reaching Up To Him)
Purpose to encourage and provide a strong support ministry for women who have lost their husbands due to death.

Our vision to be faithful servants, like Ruth willing to let go of the past and be positioned to praise, trust and serve God.

Ministry Mission: To embrace our new season, surrendering to God’s calling, will. and purpose for our lives.
This ministry is not only for the widows of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, but also for widows in the community and beyond as the ministry grows

Sybil E. Dickerson Missionary Ministry

Ministry Mission: Spreading God’s love by reaching out spiritually to those in need. To do this to the best of our ability, accepting knowledge of those in need, helping to support our sick and shut-in, the poor elderly of our comunity.

Tender Touch Ministry is a beautiful expression of Christ’s love through Mt. Olive Baptist Church. This ministry reaches beyond the walls of our church to touch lives in our community and across the nation. It is a heartfelt mission of compassion, encouragement, and hope—reminding every person that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.
Through simple yet powerful gestures, such as sending cards for birthdays, graduations, times of illness, and moments of loss, we share the comfort and joy of Jesus Christ. Led faithfully by Shirley Broadnax, this ministry speaks life into hearts, offering reassurance that God’s love is constant and His people care deeply.
Tender Touch Ministry is more than cards—it is a lifeline of grace and kindness, a reminder that even in difficult seasons, we are surrounded by love and prayer.
